  • Your race Bib that you picked up at Packet Pick up
  • $10 cash per car for parking
  • Spending $$$ if you want to buy souvenirs or extra food and drinks. CASH ONLY
  • A clean pair of clothes to change into.

Q. What should we wear on race day?
  • Shoes – normal running shoes. Cleats are not a good idea because of the many different terrain surfaces. Some people recommend boots but these can get heavy when they become wet and muddy.
  • Clothes – lightweight stuff that dries quickly. Clothes should fit comfortably and not get loose or baggy after getting wet. Even if it’s a cold day, heavy or thick clothing will just retain water and make you colder. You should also bring a change of clothes for after the event so you can enjoy the post-race festival.
  • Gloves – this one is more debatable. Some people swear by them, others prefer to go glove-less (faster drying). If you go with gloves, be sure to grab tough, thick ones to prevent burns from the ropes and splinters from the walls.

Q. How can I get cleaned up after the race?

   A. We will have a changing room for male and females to change if you wish too after the race.

Q. Is there poison oak on the course?
   A. In the wooded areas around Ya Ka Ama, there is poison oak. Although we have done everything we can to remove any poison oak from the course,
there is a chance that runners may encounter it. We have done our best to remove plants, leaves and roots of poison oak to minimize any exposure, but we cannot guarantee that runners will not encounter it. We have also marked Poison Oak plants that are off the course but near to it with pink ribbons and signage so it can be easily identified. Please stay clear of any plants with pink ribbon on them.

Q. Can we wear costumes in the run?
    A. Go for it! We encourage you to get as creative as you want. Just make sure the costume does not impair your vision, prevent you from breathing normally, or can potentially make you trip or get snagged on an obstacle. This is also a family event so please be considerate of children when choosing your costumes.
